A captivating handblown glass bowl designed by the renowned Czech artist Josef Hospodka for the Chřibská Glassworks in the 1960s, during the height of Bohemian modernism. This sculptural piece belongs to the celebrated “Lips” series, characterized by its fluid organic form and rich color gradients.

 

The bowl embodies the era’s Pop Art influence — bold, sensual, and effortlessly elegant. Hospodka’s visionary work at Chřibská (est. 1414) helped define the global reputation of Czech glass, showcased at major design exhibitions including Expo 1958 Brussels and Expo 1967 Montreal.

 

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Surface retains exceptional clarity and luster, with only minimal signs of age consistent with its 1960s production.
