An exceptional example of early Ming Dynasty craftsmanship, this dish features the distinctive sacrificial red glazeassociated with the reign of Emperor Yongle (1403–1424). Originally produced for imperial rituals and altars, these pieces were glazed in a deep, copper-based red — a rare and technically challenging feat in early porcelain firing. This dish bears a Yongle mark, honoring the emperor whose patronage helped define a golden age of Chinese ceramic artistry.
Condition:
Excellent antique condition. No cracks or restoration. Subtle surface wear and natural kiln marks consistent with age. The glaze maintains its rich crimson hue and luminous depth, with beautiful pooling at the base and rim.
