Vintage – Chinese Canton Porcelain – Set of Five Sake Cups
Origin:
A set of five hand-painted sake cups in fine Canton porcelain, decorated with the classic flower-and-bird (花鸟) motif that has defined Chinese export ware for generations. Made in the tradition of Canton (Guangzhou) — the great southern port from which China's most exquisite enamelled porcelain travelled to the world — each cup is finished in delicate famille-rose-style enamels, with blossoms, foliage and birds rendered in rich, jewel-like colour against a luminous white ground.
Small, refined and beautifully tactile, the set carries the quiet luxury of a centuries-old decorative tradition.

Design Notes:
There's a quiet generosity to a set like this — five small canvases, each hand-painted with the same flowering, fluttering world. Grouped on a tray they read as a collection; in the hand, each becomes its own tiny object of beauty. This is the kind of detail that turns a table into an experience.
