An authentic Søholm Stentøj Model 2113 stoneware table lamp, designed by Danish ceramic artist Einar Johansenand handmade on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, during the 1960s–1970s.

Johansen’s work for Søholm is particularly celebrated for its combination of strong sculptural forms, geometric surface decoration, and expressive glazing. Model 2113 is a beautiful example of this language, featuring a softly rounded ceramic body decorated with one of Johansen’s characteristic incised geometric relief patterns.

What distinguishes this example is its unusually soft glaze palette. Rather than the saturated cobalt and deep blues most closely associated with Johansen’s work for Søholm, the stoneware is finished in a pale blue-grey, subtly mottled glaze. The glaze gathers differently across the raised and recessed pattern, producing delicate variations in tone and giving the surface greater depth as the surrounding light changes.

The model number 2113 is incised into the base, identifying the Søholm form.
